What’s the difference between photo and video stories?
Thanks to Dailyfy, you can analyze the statistics of your stories in detail.
Even though the distinction between image and video format should be clear, we’d like to give you some additional information so that you can analyze your statistical data perfectly (because there are a few peculiarities).
Stories with an image format
Stories with an image format only contain an image or the sharing of a post from Instagram. If you add so-called “static” stickers like a link, a mention or a hashtag block, your story will still be considered an image format.
However, if you add “dynamic” stickers to your stories like music or a GIF, then your story will switch to video format.
Stories with a video format
As we’ve just seen, “video” formats for stories can be more complex because beyond the classic video in story, Instagram and Facebook automatically convert your story into a video if you add “dynamic” stickers like a GIF for example.
You’ll need to be careful when analyzing your data, because reposting or stories with an image at the base will be considered a video in Dailyfy.
Why be vigilant about this distinction?
You’ll need to be careful when analyzing your data , as repostings or stories with an image at the base will be considered a video in Dailyfy.
In fact, from experience, we know that stories with a video format (at their core) perform better than a story with a repost + gif, for example.
