Connect a Twitter account (X) to Dailyfy
You can schedule posts on X directly from Dailyfy.
Since Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter, X APIs have become payable. We kindly ask that you use your own API.
Due to the evolution of X and the drastic increase in costs to use the API, we had to change our login process. From now on, we rely on your API. Depending on your use, you will have to subscribe to a package on your side to use the full potential of X.
For your information, the free version allows you to use X in its large part and will be more than enough for small and medium-sized businesses (only for the classic programming of your tweets with Dailyfy).
Below you will find the packages offered by the American company: https://developer.x.com/en/products/twitter-api

Creating your X API
Before you post a tweet about X, you’ll need to set up your own private API key. To do this, you need to go to this page: X Developers
If you don’t have an account, then you’ll need to create an X Developers account. Then, you’ll need to follow these steps:
- Indicate how you will use API X. You can refer to our summary in the video description. Then validates the various permissions.
- On the X API dashboard, in the “Projects and Apps” section, select your app (created automatically), then click on “Setup” in “User Authentication Settings”.
- In “App Permissions”, select “Read and Write and Direct Message“.
- For the type of application, choose “Web App, Automated App or Bot“.
- In “App Info”, enter the redirect URL (https://app.dailyfy.co/twitter_profiles), then the URL of our app (https://app.dailyfy.co/), Save your changes.
- On the client authentication page, copy the client ID key and secret client key to a notebook or directly to Dailyfy. Click on “Done”.
- Access the keys and tokens of the App. Regenerate customer keys by clicking on “Regenerate” in the “Consumer Keys” section.
- Copies the client’s API key and secret.
- Generate a Token by clicking “Generate” in the “Bearer Token” section and copy it.
Configuring the X API in Dailyfy
Once you have the 5 mandatory keys, go to the configuration of your Dailyspace on Dailyfy, then to “Social Network”. Click on the X logo, then click on “X API Configuration”.
Here you can find the redirect URL and the fields to indicate:
- Your consumer customer ID
- Your secret consumer key
- The authentication token
- The Client ID for Authentication 2.0
- The Secret Key for Authentication 2.0
After filling in all these fields, click on “Send”.
Connection and synchronization between your X profile and Dailyfy
In this step, simply click on “Add Twitter/X profile“. You will then be redirected to X to log in to your account and authorize the app you just created.
Finally, confirm the X account you want to add to Dailyfy.
There you go! You can now plan your tweets easily and simply with our tool.
An error with API X?
If there is an error, make sure that all fields are filled in correctly. If the problem persists, we advise you to regenerate all 5 keys and try again. We remain at your disposal via chat or e-mail (hello[a]dailyfy.co) for any further assistance.
