Reconnect profiles to Dailyfy
When a social profile is disconnected, it means that Dailyfy is not able to retrieve information from that social network. This impacts your ability to publish and schedule posts, respond to messages, generate reports, and access your data globally to manage your networks with ease.
This article aims to provide a brief explanation of the reasons for reconnecting your profiles, and especially how to proceed with a reconnection.
The different causes of disconnection
There are many cases that can cause a profile to be disconnected. In any case, you will be notified via the notification center (small bell in the upper right corner) and by email.
Security and policy updates
The Platforms periodically update their policies and terms of service to ensure user safety, privacy, and compliance with evolving regulations. In some cases, these policy updates may require users to reconnect their social profiles to third-party apps like Dailyfy.
Change your profile type
If you decide to change the type of profile on your social network, it may lead to a disconnection between your profile and Dailyfy. Instagram, for example, offers different types of profiles, including personal accounts, business accounts, and creator accounts. By reconnecting your social networks, you can easily update the profile type in Dailyfy, ensuring that access to the platform’s features (content scheduling, auto-publishing, analytics, etc.) aligns with your new profile type.
No longer being a member of a profile
Dailyfy regularly checks the rights you have according to your profiles. If we find that you no longer have the rights to a profile, then we will automatically disconnect your profile.
We invite you to check that you are still a member of this page. If this is no longer the case, you will then have to contact the administrator so that he can transfer the rights to you again and then log you in again.
Other disconnection issues
Your social profiles may log out for a variety of reasons, including expiration of access tokens, security measures imposed by social networks, human error, account inactivity, and changes to platform features or settings.
How to reconnect your profiles on Dailyfy?
To reconnect a profile, all you have to do is:
- Access your DailySpace
- Click on configuration (bottom left in the menu)
- Click on Social Network and then on Account Management
- Select the platform of the disconnected profile
- Locate the disconnected profile
- Click on the resync icon (arrow)
- You will then be redirected to the platform to log in, accept the rights and revalidate the profiles to be synchronized.
- On Dailyfy, you have to re-select the profiles to connect and validate.
- Once the profile(s) have been successfully connected, you will find them under Account Management.
