What are the guidelines and limitations for each platform?

To ensure that your videos and photos are displayed correctly on each platform, please use the correct aspect ratio, dimensions and technical requirements for each platform.

To help you on your way, here are the media and text limits supported by Dailyfy :

Facebook

Post types supported on Facebook: posts with one or more photos (no limit on the number of photos per post), story, video, carousel (with link only) and GIF.

Facebook limits :

The pictures

  • Photos must be in PNG, JPEG or JPG format
  • Size: up to 8 MB/image.
  • GIFs must be less than 4 MB in size.
  • Maximum resolution is 2048 x 2048.
  • Link carousels can contain up to 10 slides.
  • Maximum number of images per message: 10

The videos

  • Video size and duration: videos are limited to 1 GB and 20 minutes.
  • Throughput limits: there are throughput limits on the number of API calls you can make in a given period of time. If you exceed the throughput limit, your requests will fail.
  • Video format: videos must be in a supported format, such as MP4, MOV or AVI.
  • Video content: videos must comply with Facebook community standards.
  • Permissions: you must have the appropriate permissions to publish videos on Facebook using the API. For example, to post videos on a page, you need to be an administrator of that page.

Reels

  • Reels can only last between 3 seconds and 90 seconds, and have a maximum size of 1 GB.
  • Reels must have an aspect ratio of 9×16.
  • The recommended resolution for Reels is 1080 x 1920 pixels, but the minimum resolution is 540 x 960 pixels.
  • Frame rate must be between 24 and 60 fps.
  • Reel video format must be .MP4, .AVI or .MOV
  • Video content: reels must comply with Facebook community standards
  • You can only publish Reels on Facebook pages.
  • You can’t post Reels on other Facebook pages.
  • You will only be able to send 10 collaborator invitations per page and per 24 hours.

Instagram

Supported publication types: publications with one or more photos/carousel (up to 10 photos), single video publications, stories and Reels.

Instagram limits :

  • Photos, whatever the type of publication, can be of any format, but must have a minimum resolution of 320 x 320 pixels and a size of less than 8 MB. They will be automatically cropped if they do not respect the 1.91:1 and 4:5 ratios.

  • With the exception of Reels, videos can only be between 3 and 60 seconds long, and no larger than 100 MB.

  • Carousels can contain up to 10 photos. At present, videos cannot be included in a carousel publication.

  • Stories can be published automatically if your account is a business account. For automatically published stories, you can upload a photo or a video.

X (Twitter)

Supported publication types: links, single- or multi-photo publications (up to 4 photos), videos and GIFs.

X limits :

  • Photos can be of any format, but must be less than 5 MB in size and have a minimum resolution of 4×4 pixels.

  • GIFs must be less than 15 MB in size and have a resolution between 4×4 pixels and 2048×2048 pixels.

  • Videos can be of any format, but must be less than 140 seconds long and less than 512 MB.

Linkedin

Supported publication types: links, single- or multi-photo publications (up to 9 photos), videos and GIFs.

The PDF carousel format is available

Linkedin limits :

  • Photos can be in any format, and there are no size limits.

  • Videos can range in length from 3 seconds to 10 minutes, and up to 1 GB. They will be published natively on personal LinkedIn profiles and company pages.

  • GIFs must be less than 8 MB in size, and will work on both personal LinkedIn profiles and company pages.

  • Carrousel PDF

Google

Supported publication types: link and publication with image.

Offer and event formats are not currently available.

Google limits :

  • Photos must be between 10 Kb and 5 Mb in size, with a minimum resolution of 250 x 250 pixels.

  • Links with a choice of call-to-action buttons: none, find out more, book, order online and buy.

Pinterest

Supported publication types: publications with a single photo, carousels containing up to 5 photos and publications with a single video.

Pinterest limits :

  • Photos have no limits.
  • Carousels are automatically cropped according to the aspect ratio of the first photo. (coming soon via Dailyfy).
  • Videos must be between 4 seconds and 15 minutes long (comming soon via Dailyfy)

TikTok

Supported publication types: TikTok(s) videos

TikTok limits :

  • Videos can be between 3 seconds and 10 minutes long, but must not exceed 1 GB.
  • Videos must have a resolution between 360 x 360 pixels and 4,096 x 4,096 pixels.
